Ultrasonic lithotripsy is widely accepted as a minimally invasive approach to
calculi disintegration and fragment removal. The LUS-2 includes an ergonomic,
lightweight transducer designed for improved probe control, which may reduce
operator fatigue. Both the application of ultrasonic energy and suction of
remaining fragments are controlled from the dual footswitch. The unit is
very quiet and more importantly, can fragment stones and suction remaining
debris simultaneously.
