Olympus offers several single-channel semi-rigid ureteroscopes. The most impressive
of these scopes is our 8.6 Fr. model with a 6.4 Fr. channel and 5.4 Fr. instrument
capacity. This scope was redesigned by upgrading the internal image fibers
to 50k, resulting in a significantly improved image with minimal pixelation, a 25
percent increase in image size, and enhanced brightness. In addition, the
ergonomics have been improved to provide the physician with improved maneuverability
when inserting and manipulating the scope into the ureters.
